Saying thank you to our dads is a thoughtful way of acknowledging great things he has done for us. However, planning to surprise dad is quite challenging. Take for instance preparing a thank you gift, though there are lots of choices to choose from, still there is a situation where choosing for the best is a hard thing to do.For those fathers that are sports enthusiast, you may include in your gift option list the items related in sports. Gifts For the Dads to Be

Do you know a man that is about to enter fatherhood? This is a great and joyous event for him. You want to help celebrate this event by getting a gift. You wonder what are good gifts for the dad to be. This can be a difficult decision to make, but it really should not be that difficult. Think about this person and what they have told you about their upcoming fatherhood and you may realize that they have actually told you something that they need. Below are a few gift ideas for the dad to be.BooksIf this is the first child, one of the great gifts for the dad to be is a book about the experience. The book could help him learn what is going on with his child and what to expect out of the whole experience. It can help him know in what ways he can help his wife in this experience.Often, dads feel left out of the birthing process and do not now how involved they should be or what they should be involved in. A book could help eliminate this confusion. Additionally, the mother would probably like her husband to be more involved and would like the dad to have read up on the subject.Night OutAnother one of the great gifts for the dad to be is a gift that can be enjoyed as a night out with his wife. As the couple is embarking on bringing a child into the world, they have likely focused much more on their unborn child than on themselves. It would be great for them to be able to go out for a night and just enjoy time with the two of them. A gift certificate to the couple's favorite restaurant could be the perfect gift.

Guys Night OutJust as the future dad has likely focused more on his unborn child than on him and his wife, the future dad's time hanging out with the guys has likely decreased. While becoming a father means less time hanging out with guy friends, it is still important to maintain those relationships. A great gift could be a gift certificate to a golf course or batting cages, or whatever he enjoys doing with the guys.Baby StuffWhen having a child, a dad could always use baby stuff. Especially if the couple are young, perhaps still in school or just finishing school, money may be tight and they may wonder how they can afford all the baby stuff that they will need. Ask what baby items they already have and see what they may need.Cash Gift CardIf you are out of ideas, a cash gift card may be the way to go. These are just like credit cards and are accepted wherever credit cards are accepted. You put a specified amount of money on the card and then the person can use the card to buy whatever they need wherever they want to. These cards are very versatile gifts for the dad to be By Robert Grazian

Craft Gifts For Dad - Great Gift Ideas

Kids love making crafts, and Dad's love getting gifts! What better combination can there be when the holidays, dad's birthday and Father's day comes around. Crafts occupy kids in a hands-on manner and involves them with creative thinking. Crafting is so much more productive then sitting in front of the television or computer.Craft Gifts For Dad - TexMex CoasterThis fun coaster will bring the cowboy out in your accountant Dad. You'll need pony beads (13 turquoise and 12 silver), a circle of cork, a concho, suede cord (about 4 feet, tan or brown works well), scissors and a hole punch. Punch holes with the hole punch all the way around the cork circle, just 1/4'' up from the edge, and about 1/2' apart from each other. Weave the suede cord through these circles, and alternate the blue and silver beads as you go through each hole. Make sure not to put any beads in the first or last holes, then string the suede cord through the concho, tie in a cowboy's knot (overhand), then trim!Craft Gifts for Dad - Paper Clip BoxFirst you'll need a few essentials from the craft store, such as a paper mache circular box with a lid as well as a mini wooden car. Get out Mom's glue gun, paints and brushes, gold paint and of course, paper clips! Set down newspapers and do this outside if the weather permits. Paint the paper mache box (red is a favorite color for most dads), and paint the car as well.

It works best if the bottom portion of the box and the lid are painted in different colors (like red and black). Use the gold pen to write Dad's name, or the word "Dad" on the front of the box. Simply use the hot glue gun to attach the car to the lid, then fill the box with paper clips and you've made Dad a spectacular gift for his desk!Craft Gifts for Dad - Dad Rocks PaperweightEvery dad needs a pet rock! All you need for this craft is a large, semi flat rock (about 3''), acrylic paints, brushes, foam music notes, instruments and foam letters. Use the paint to paint the rock in your dad's favorite colors. Black would look great with white or red foam letters. Let the rock dry. Stick the letters and music notes to the rock. Spell out any phrase you wish. "Dad Rocks!" or "Dad You Rock" works well for this craft. Use the music note and musical instrument foams on the sides of the phrase to emphasize dad's coolness!Craft Gifts for Dad - Memo HolderDad will never have an excuse for missing a meeting again with this memo holder! You will need a mini toolbox (can be found in miniature section at any crafts store), 25 popsicle (craft) sticks, glue, white paint marker and a post it note pad. Use the craft sticks alternately in box formation to create a "crate" effect. At the top, glue the mini toolbox, and if the toolbox came with tiny tools, glue one on each side of the memo holder, and the rest inside the toolbox. Use the white paint to write "Dad" on the toolbox, then set the post it note pad inside the box. Dad will love it! By Wendy Pan
